Take a minute and reflect on the “thing”, the one aspect of your life that makes you worry or feel maybe just a little anxious. Is it because you want something to change, to be different? Your finances, your relationships, your health? We all have at least one.

And the brilliant thing is, you don’t have to just keep letting it distract or even limit you. There is a way to understand it, manage it, release it, and better yet, change it! It does not need to control you or your growth toward your most amazing self! 

In her best-selling book, Take Control of Your Life, Mel Robbins helps us understand the things that hold us back. She provides relatable, real stories of people just like us, stuck in a pattern of learned behavior. It’s so insidious that we don’t even realize what we are experiencing and how we even create it for ourselves.

Heather’s story is so revealing. She knows she struggles with self-control and achievement, the chase for happiness. Maybe you can relate? Or is your pattern with your children, or with your well-intended wellness routines, where you struggle?  With small pivots in your awareness, you can stop chasing and start living your happiness!

In this new season, don’t wait. Carpe Diem! It is not as hard as you may think. What I have learned is this: you and I are irreplaceable. We are unique and here for this very time made for us. We cannot let history, worry, fear, or even a little anxiety hold us back from what has been placed in our hearts. What you desire is calling you to your best and highest self.
